Overview
The purpose of the Historical Review Commission is to advise on the preservation of certain historical buildings and districts within the City of Mount Vernon and to maintain the architectural theme and neighborhood characteristics through the different buildings and homes. This group also helps to educate the public on the benefits of owning property in a historic district and to aid in the enhancement of property values within the districts.
